The selected candidates have to appear for a skill test based on the recruitment of posts to prove their skills. Candidates who applied for the posts of Typists & Stenographers have to appear for the skill test. Once they pass the skill test, they are allowed to appear for the document verification process. They must submit the required photocopies of their original verified documents issued by the recognized Boards & Institutions with valid ID proofs. After the document verification process, candidates will undergo a training period of six months for the technical & managerial posts. During this training period, they will be paid a fixed stipend which will be transformed into the payment according to the IDA pay scale.

The FCI Recruitment Exam syllabus for Paper I covers topics like Visual Memory, Clocks, Letter Series, Space Visualization, Relationship Concepts, Figural Classification, Similarities, Shapes & Mirrors, Venn Diagrams, etc., under the Reasoning part. The Quantitative Aptitude covers topics like Number systems, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Ratio & Proportion, etc. The Verbal Ability part includes topics like Articles, Gerunds, Tense, Vocabulary, Comprehension, etc.

Ans. The age limit varies from position to position of a candidate. For the post of Assistant Grade, the maximum age limit is 27 years. The age limit is 28 to apply for the post of AG II(Hindi). The maximum age limit is 25 years for the posts like typists & stenographers, whereas 28 years for Junior Engineer in any branch. There are three years of age relaxation for OBC candidates & 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Ans. The FCI Exam follows a specific exam pattern for Phase I, which is conducted for all. Phase I is an online mode exam that consists of 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks. The exam time limit is one hour. Each question carries one score with a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer. Phase I is divided into three sections. The Verbal Ability & Reasoning section carries 30 marks for 30 questions, and the Numerical Ability section consists of 35 questions.

Ans. The FCI Exam for Phase II consists of two papers. In the first paper exam, Paper I is for AG III(General) & AG III(Depot), whereas Paper III is for Typist(Hindi) & Paper V is for Stenographer II.
