Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, widely addressed as UPPSC, conducts multiple recruitment exams for various departments of the state. The eligibility criteria of the exams vary with the posts. The most popular of all the exams is UPPSC PCS. The mains exam is scheduled to be conducted on January28, 2022. The appearing candidates must check the preparation strategies to give their best in the exam.

The UPPSC PCS exam is conducted inthree different stages namely,

  1. Preliminary Exam (Objective Type & Multiple choices),
  2. Mains Exam (Conventional Type, i.e. Written examination) and

UPPSC PCS Eligibility Criteria

There are multiple factors that make up the UPPSC PCS eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are mentioned in the official recruitment notification released by UPPSC. The aspirants must check it before they fill in the UPPSC application forms.

PCS Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

A candidate must fulfillall the below mentioned educational qualifications to appear for the examination. It is important to remember that the UPPSC admit cards will be issued only for eligible candidates.

  • The candidate applying for the examination must hold at least a bachelor"s degree which is relevant to the post, from a recognized university approved by state or central government.
  • Candidates in their final semester or waiting for the results to be declared can also apply for the exam. However, they shall have to submit their final semester scorecard during the Detailed Application Form (DAF) submission.

Apart from the above-mentioned requirements, There are some specific requirements pertaining to certain posts. The candidate"sCGPA or percentage doesn"t matter, but the candidate must hold a UG or PG degree in the particular field.

Account and Audit Officer (Mandi Parishad)The candidate must hold a degree in Commerce with Accountancy
Senior Sugarcane Development InspectorThe candidate must hold a masters degree(PG) in Agriculture Science and the CCC Certificate
Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-I)/Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-II)The candidate must hold either bachelor"s degree or master"s degree in Science with Physics or Mechanical Engineering as one subject.

UPPSC PSC Age limit

A candidate must ensure that he/she not only fulfils the educational but also the minimum and maximum age limit barrier to appear for the examination.

The body/board that conducts the examination has set some age limit for the candidates appearing for the exam.

  • Minimum age: A candidate must at least be 21 years old to attend the exam.
  • Maximum age: 50 years
