ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) is a government-owned enterprise and the largest producer of oil and natural gas, accounting for 70% of the Indian domestic production. IOC, BPCL, and HPCL companies use crude oil as raw material supplied by ONGC. ONGC recruits employees for several posts, such as diploma, medical officer, technician, sales assistant, graduate training etc. ONGC will conduct the exam to recruit 21 HR Executives and Public Relations Officers.

ONGC Recruitment: Application Process

Following documents should be ready before applying for the ONGC recruitment:

Applicants should take note of the following essential points while applying for the recruitment:

  • User ID and password generated after registration at the portal will be sent on the email id entered by the applicant.
Step 1: ONGC Registration

Here is the step-by-step procedure to register on the ONGC website:

  • Applicants are required to register themselves on the ONGC website by agreeing to the Terms & Conditions of the recruitment process.
  • Now click on sign up after selecting the post the applicant wants to register for.
  • Applicants need to enter the following details:
    • Applicant’s Name

    • Email ID
  • Applicants will receive their application sequence number/user id and password on their email id.
Step 2: ONGC Application Form

In the next step, the application form is to be filled in the following step-by-step procedure:

  • Visit the ONGC website and log in using the application sequence number and password generated in the first step.
  • Go to the “Application Form” option at the top right corner of the screen fill the important details in the application form, such as:

  • The last step is to submit the application form and payment of application fees.
Uploading Documents: Instructions

Following instructions are to be followed while uploading the following documents:

  • A recent passport size photograph with a light background
  • The scanned image size in Jpg/jpeg format should be less than 50 kb.
  • The signature should be on a blank page with black ink.
  • The scanned image should be less than 20 kb in Jpg/jpeg.

Application Fees

After applying, applicants will be redirected to the application fee payment portal, i.e., “SBI ePay Payment Gateway” Applicants can pay the application fee through the following methods:

ONGC Recruitment: Selection Process

ONGC selection process is held in a stage-wise manner. Candidates are selected based on the UGC NET Score and Personal Interview, and the final selection will be based on educational qualification and personal interview performance.

ONGC Exam Pattern 2022

The ONGC exam will consist of three subjects such as concerned subjects, Aptitude Tests and General Awareness. The aspirants will have to appear either for written test or computer based test.

  • ONGC Exam type (Question pattern): Objective type and multiple choice questions.
  • Duration of time: 3 hours.
  • There will be no negative marking in case of marking wrong answers.
